This episode of Rootwork is based on a presentation that was scheduled for the October 2023 inaugural symposium of the Black Women’s Studies Association (BWSA). It takes a look at how black women and girls have confronted/responded to violence and harm within US based organizations and movements that have called for the liberation of Black people from capitalist, imperialist, white, supremacist oppression, based on publicly available sources and oral interviews.
