Words matter.
A peaceful gathering is a gathering. But when people start fighting, destroying property, attacking others, stealing, or creating dangerous chaos, Chicago should stop pretending nothing serious is happening.
We can fight for opportunities for Chicago’s youth while demanding accountability when laws are broken.
It’s time for parents, politicians, community leaders, and City Hall to stop passing the responsibility around.
